Nice accommodation, with lots of charme. We loved the roofless toilet. Buffet dinner and breakfast with staff that invite you to eat more. They also organize camel short tour for sunrise but you can follow them walking. We recommend stair gazing and sunset more than sunrise Get organized to arrived there before the dark. Drive in the desert in the night is a bit scary.
We spend a night in the camp with very good dunes tour, quad, very good food and local music. Very recommended
This remote camp was a highlight of our trip to Oman! Rooms were lovely and nicely laid out. I really liked the netting for the beds so we could throw the windows open. Bathroom was clean and stocked with shampoo, soap, and even toothbrushing kits if you forgot. Meals were fantastic! The grilled chicken kabobs were the best we’ve ever had! Staff was friendly and helpful. The true highlight for us cost a little extra but was well worth it! I highly recommend the sunset camel ride. What a treat! Don’t miss taking photos of the incredible patterns in the sands of the dunes. Don’t expect WiFi or anywhere to charge your devices, and you likely won’t get phone service there anyway. I would suggest hiring a ride in to camp. It would be easy to get lost driving yourself.
they required to work a bit hard to provide adequate facilities especially for kids
“Good Camp”
This camp is in an excellent location 20km into the desert. The camp has everything you need. Food was basic but edible. Facilities adequate but old looking. One glitch was that nobody with English speaking in the main office to greet us upon arrival. We were led to the start of the desert track and told to follow a 20km track through the sand to reach the camp unaccompanied - we were fine with this but bear this in mind.
