I wanted to see it before the closure, so I stayed for 2 nights and 3 days. During the art tour, I was able to touch upon the history and art of Gajoen and enjoy the interior once again. As it was also a special anniversary, I received blessings from everyone, making it a wonderful stay. Since it was the last day, it seemed many people had deep connections to Gajoen, and they were greeting the staff warmly. I don't know how things will be in the future, but I hope that cultural properties like the Hyakudan Staircase will be preserved.
I brought my parents, and I was touched by the great hospitality. All the staff were really kind and meticulous about even the smallest details, and I was pleased and amazed. The room was spacious and clean, and my friend felt completely comfortable; the bathroom was also wide and clean, so there was no inconvenience at all. There is no need to add more about the beauty of the hotel. I was grateful to be able to spend a dream-like day. Will I be able to have such an experience again?
We have stayed at Hotel Gajoen at least 4 times. It is beautiful, has outstanding service and a great location close to the Yamanote line for easy access to transportation. I will continue to stay here on each of my trips to Tokyo.
I heard that it will close in September, so I took my husband in a wheelchair. The room was spacious enough, and we were able to spend time comfortably without any inadequacies with the wheelchair.
“I want to recommend to my friends abroad.”
It was a hotel that felt very Japanese, as one might imagine from abroad. For dinner, I ordered room service in my room. It was Chinese food, and everything was delicious, so I was very satisfied. I think it would have been even better if there had been a little more quantity. I stayed in a Japanese-Western room. The tatami mats were old, which was a bit disappointing, but after staying for a while, the hotel closed for renovations, so I hope that area will be improved. The bathroom had a sauna, and the bathtub was a jet bath. It was very spacious, and I was able to enjoy a break from the everyday. The amenities in the room were sufficient, and the service was also adequate. I used the restaurant for breakfast, and I thought everything was delicious. On the first floor of the hotel, there was a Japanese-style garden, and the children raised abroad were very moved by it.
