The aircon in the room did not work. The staff was informed about this right upon arrival, but did not even reply. The staff was u friendly and did speak very little English. During checkout they did not give back the deposit because they claimed that the towels were blue instead of white. However, the towels were white. So they cheated on the deposit.
15 minutes walk from walking street or beach, not too close not too far, reasonable price, it was perfect for my needs. I can recommend this place! (y)
The location is beautiful and well maintained by the cleaning staff. The gym and pool are cleaned periodically and are never in disarray. In all honesty the cleaning staff is or was amazing while I was there. The front desk staff seems like they cant be bothered to smile or be patient with anyone they come across and I understood that they were trying their best to communicate with people of many different languages but the ladies at the front desk had such terrible attitudes that it made me feel I should just not deal with them for anything other than basic needs. As far as transparency, the location does not indicate that you will be charged for all provided items used within the room, that lovely basket of snacks is a separate inflated charge that will come from your deposit so your better off just getting food at the market or 7/11 The rooms are beautiful, the location is beautiful, the services are wonderful and the owner herself she's the sweetest. not perfect but its 5 star
If you want value, this place is great. If you want convenience, look elsewhere. Novana is not a hotel. When I arrived, there was no one to help me check in. The whole process took about an hour and involved calling Agoda support. The location is not good - along a back road with nothing really around. If you want a nice room and nice facilities for a cheap price however, you cannot beat the value of Novana.
“Scam! Horrible”
The deposit was not returned for no reason. The AC did not work. The room was not cleaned as advertised. Facilities that were advertised were not available, e.g. Clothes drying for washed clothes. The personnel spoke only limited English.
