Food was great, Goat meat was excellent. Very quiet. A nice place for a quiet time.

I got early check in. Well… i arrived earlier than my check in time, and it was about 9:30AM . I went to the counter to reconfirm my booking just to make sure if it is there or not. The receptionist was good lady, she checked it for me and than i asked if i need to wait until the check in time , so at first she said it is 14:00pm . But she said if you want you can wait an hour so i can ask rooms service to clean a room for you. I felt good, and agreed! I went to the mall to have my breakfast and came back after an hour , around 11Am and the room was ready! Most hotels dont do this. They stick to their policies … This was quite good gesture ! Really appreciated… The room and the view was nice … the room was quite bigger than expected and was enough for me and my family (wife and 2 kids).
Negative points: - policy about the food . We are not allowed to bring anything to eat or drink. If that is the case , than your hotel should provide food for all kinds of customers! Muslims need HALAL food. The hotel must create conditions to have it in the menu and a separate kitchen , and staff (probably muslims also) , so that they know about it. - No water to drink in the room! (Not everyone drinks tap water) - room service staff was slow ! I asked for a blanket , for which i had to make a couple of calls and it finally arrived at my room in about 40 minutes! Thank you! - the AC was very old maybe or need maintenance (room209), was making too much noise the whole night. - buffet staff was very slow in the morning (breakfast) . Cheese was finished , we asked and they kept on saying it is coming , it coming. Ehich never came, even after we finished eating. No normal water to drink, have to buy a bottle for E23 . So they served tap water which was provided after waiting so long (the staff looked tired) .

I was upgraded to a superior room which excited my expectations. It was a beautiful room, very clean and comfortable.
The restaurant could implement a daily special on the ala carte menu which could be under E100. 00 thus ensuring that guests choose to spend their money at the hotel as opposed to the Gables.
