Amazing for couples , very helpful staff and location is perfect as its just 10 mins walk to one of the best beach in goa and local goan food
I had booked Sterling with 9 AM check in as special request. Then I called and enquired with manager Vivien who said it is based on availability and for 9AM it is 2000 extra which I was okay with. So I specifically asked her if I reach at 9 AM and then only they can confirm and she said yes they can confirm only 19th mrng when I reach the hotel. When we reached at 8, there was ni room available for early check in. When we came back around 11.30AM , we checked at the reception and they said in 1 hr it ll be ready. So we waited purely because they said 1 hr. When we went to check on the status again, the receptionist completely ignored us for a full 15 mins and when we approached the manager he said we ‘ll get it only by 1.30 PM, which if communicated to us early, we would ve gone for lunch and come back instead of wasting time waiting for more than an hour. When we said the same to the floor manager he said they ll do some adjustment and give us another room for now which we were okay with and we agreed. In 5 mins Vivien( General manager) came and said she had told me that room would only be ready 1.30PM yesterday on call which never happened. She straight on lied to my face and when I said no this was not the discussion we had, she was not even letting me speak. She started yelling at loudspeaker volume in the reception area which felt threatening and embarrassing at the same time and was not even listening to or giving us a second to speak. We gave her 5 mins to calm down cause clearly she was not in the right mind and spoke to her again and told her that if reception told us 1 hr (by 12.30PM) and if now u re saying 1.30 PM , its not our fault. She started again and kept yelling out dialogues like “..you can do whatever you want, I know how to take care of myself, you give whatever feedback you want, etc etc.” I’m amazed at how sterling has kept someone who lacks basic people skills as a general manager who was very confident that she doesn’t need to face any repercussions even if I complaint about this. I emailed this to senior management and all we got back was him saying he will counsel her. Not even an apology from the manager who caused this whole episode. The only reason I booked sterling was because last time I stayed in sterling yercaud , I had a wonderful experience. Clearly, it is not consistent at all sterling properties.
Only hotel construction is old. Rest facilities and staff supports are really good.
Great place to stay with little kids. Lots of activities but beware that you have to pay extra for most. Still a lovely place to enjoy. Clean and friendly staff.
