National Science Centre

National Science Centre museum is one of the best and successful units of national council of science museums (NCSM). The museum was inaugurated by prime minister of India on 9th January 1992. The centre aims at providing scientific knowledge to general public and creates a curiosity for scientific researches among them. The centre is located near gate no. 1 of Pragati Maidan on the bhairon road, Delhi. p/> The science centre has two different sections one which focuses on scientific achievements and researches and another section is known as fun with science, which majorly has small instruments and models which have very interesting operations.

The major audience to the museum consists of school children. First thing that one notice on entering the museum is a magic tap and a gaunt ball game track. Beside these an entire section dedicated to dinosaurs’ with animated models it also a major attraction for children. Among deferent  models and instruments in the muse are  glass mazes, kaleidoscope , a wireless communication system, a display of gandian era of making hand weave cloths, satellite models, a 3d movie theater which plays movies related to recent scientific discoveries. These working models create a sense of curiosity among the children and make them inclined towards learning more about these discoveries.

Centre also has an auditorium where various sciences submits take place time to time. A cafeteria which serves majorly Indian food also forms part of the centre. The centre timing is from 10:00 am till 5:30 pm and it is open on all seven days. There is a nominal entry fees charged to the visitors and there are separate tickets of movie shows.
